Guayabo is a national monument where preserved structures from 1000 BC to 1400 AD still exist and include a tomb, forty-three mounts, two open squares, three aqueducts, and two stone walkways. Each of the structures is connected by bridges, small stone paths, and stairs. The most important aspect of the tour is the many mounds guests can take in.

Guests on tour will also have the chance to see the summit of Turrialba Volcano while traveling to Guayabo. Turrialba volcano is the second tallest volcano which is surpassed only by Irazu.
